BRATISLAVA, November 15, (SITA) -- Bardejovske Kupele spa reported sales of almost SKK 205 million over the first nine months of 2002, up 3.6 percent from the same period of last year. The aggregate turnover amounted to about SKK 217 million, spa general director Jaroslav Komora informed SITA on Friday.
The spa operated 24 spa hotels with 1,290 beds in three quarters of this year. The number of clients climbed 10.3 percent year-on-year to 15,061. The company posted the increase in the category of clients who pay for their spa treatment themselves, while the number of foreign clients posted the biggest increase, up by 160 percent. Mr. Komora ascribed the increase in foreign clientele to high standards of the provided services and upper-standard accommodation in renovated facilities. The number of clients sent to Bardejovske Kupele by social-security provider Socialna Poistovna, fell 41 percent.
Bardejovske Kupele invested about SKK 4.6 million into modernization and reconstruction of its assets in the monitored period. The average monthly wage of Bardejovske Kupele spa is around SKK 11,150.
